This CPU board is the old production version, it contains all the digital circuitry of the Poly-61. It handles voice assignment, user interfacing, digital control of the DCOs, and provides all control voltages for the voice board. For storing programs, it also contains the backup battery.
As there seemed to be messing something on this CPU board, it was accompanied by the following board:

This board is connected to the CPU board in a way which lets one think there was a problem on the CPU board, as it connects directly to two connectors labeled "IC9". This board is no longer present in the new production version.
